In a surprising partnership that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of banned ceremonies and fearsome changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret group.
The adventure focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana alongside several objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
